Secondly, there’s another grandma’s recipe. The ground cinnamon and pure honey mixed together is another alternative for relieving toothache for a while. You can use this paste three times a day. It is recommended to warm the paste before you apply it to your aching tooth.

You might also consider using a wet tea bag. Tea comes with tannin, a compound that can reduce swelling and act as a painkiller. Try using a wet tea bag with room temperature. It is not recommended to use a hot or icy wet tea bag.

There are several ways to demolish the bad bacteria living in your teeth. If you suspect that your tooth pain may have been caused by some kind of bacteria, you may try to rinse your mouth with a mixture of warm water and salt. It will help you kill the bacteria and relief some pain. Alternatively, you can chew onion. Onion is a great and easy to find remedies that will help you kill the germs, thanks to its antimicrobial and antiseptic properties.

Aside of the cloves, we have another home remedies for tooth pain that we often use. You can try this when you can’t find a clove in your kitchen. I personally think that this is the second best one I’ve tried so far. All you need is ginger powder, combined with red cayenne pepper. Mix them together and add just a little water to make the paste. Apply the paste to a cotton ball, and place it in the painful tooth.

There are still other ways to use your kitchen ingredients as a traditional relief for toothache. One of the most notable one is liquors with alcohol, such as brandy or whisky. Note that you shouldn’t drink it. You need to apply it to a cotton ball and put it on the tooth that aches.
